It has come to our attention that some members of the horse community are downloading proof images and attempting to use these proofs to advertise or promote their horse via websites or other media. This practice is a breach of copyright.
Photographs must be paid for in full to enable the use of the purchased image for any method of advertising or promotion.
Any image that has the words proof or copyright watermarked across it may not be used in any form other than for viewing on this website for purchase of the photograph.
We are approached regularly by people to photograph their horse as they wish to sell the animal. Recently we have found, these horses are advertised elsewhere with a link given to this website for prospective buyers to view proofs without the owner ever having purchased an image.
This practice will jeopardize the existence of this website. This website is provided as a convenient way for genuine clients to view proofs and purchase photographs online within hours of their competition. It is not provided as a vehicle for unscrupulous people to gain free advertising for the horse they are selling.
When we are notified of either instance occurring, all photographs relating to the person/s involved will be removed from this website and the photographs will be withdrawn from sale.
Due to the above events, this website will now only display images for a maximum of 3 months. Images will then be removed from the site and the original files will be archived. Proofs requested after archive date will require a $30.00 search fee, paid prior to sending low resolution proof images via email.
When submitting images for magazine coverage, preference will be given to purchasers. As has always been the case, final selection of the photographs submitted will be at the discretion of the magazine editor. No guarantees are given.
The photographer attending the shows is not paid by the show committee, nor by the magazine. Our income is reliant on photograph sales. We hope to continue to support the showing community with coverage online, in quality print media and providing precious memories of your showing career.
While we are saddened by the measures we have been forced to take, we trust our genuine customers will continue to support us and believe that the majority will understand our view.
